Shop Late Locay Hotel Tour

As part of Shop Late Potts Point we have a very special and intimate guided tour of Sydney Lodges + Locay’s boutique portfolio of hotels in Potts Point.

Inspired by local surrounds and community, each specialty Sydney Lodges + Locay property delivers an exceptional guest accommodation experience.

Meet your local guide – and fellow hotel geeks for the night – in reception at The Bayswater on Bayswater Road, a beautiful boutique property with a rich history. Located where one of the former mansions of the area stood and was home to some very important people over the years before being transformed into the 51 room accommodation venue in the 1930s. If only the walls could talk!

Then it’s a hop and a skip via charming Kellett Street to Springfield Lodge, this heritage-listed accommodation by Sydney Lodges salutes the history of the local area as it was once a famous destination for exclusive bridge and mahjong gatherings, parties, and of course, lodging, from as far back as the 1920s. A unique boutique experience set in a tastefully restored 1924 heritage building on Springfield Ave.

Next we stroll down Macleay Street to The Jensen and embark on a tour of this hip & buzzing property, delivering a new concept in boutique urban accommodation. Once a 4-storey mansion overlooking Macleay St, The Jensen now offers twenty-nine guest rooms which are quirky and original combining warm mustard hues, playful artworks, smooth retro lighting and Scandi teak timbers.

Then it’s around the corner to tree lined Challis Avenue to visit Hotel Challis where we will enjoy a glass of sparkling and live music from a local musician. Before embarking on a tour of the beautiful rooms in this property. Hotel Challis is a grand & elegant boutique Sydney situated in the heart of vibrant Potts Point village. This stunning Victorian heritage-listed three storey building has recently been given an extensive make-over which has enhanced it’s original fixtures and added to the high-end mansion vibe.

This is the perfect opportunity to check out local accommodation for friends, family and visitors to the area. Your chance to come inside and see it for yourself.

Your guide will be happy to recommend a variety of small bars where you can kick on post-tour and discuss your discoveries and stay-cation plans with your new hotel geek friends.
