Potts Point Partnership renews purpose and appoints Interim Chair
The Potts Point Partnership Committee has appointed an Interim Chair, Mr Brandon Martignago after the current chair, Mr Hamilton Kings, offered to stand aside in order to run in the upcoming local government elections later this year. Mr Kings will continue to contribute to the Partnership as a Committee Member.
The recently elected PPP Committee has agreed to a renewed purpose for the organisation, aimed at bringing a sharper focus to its activities and advocacy.
“Enabling Business to Thrive” is the new Purpose for the organisation, which seeks to increase its advocacy for the broad breadth of businesses that operate in one of Sydney’s premier urban villages.
The Interim Chair, Mr Martignago, said the Committee has worked to implement a clear purpose to ensure all of its activities are driven towards helping the small business owners in Potts Point continue to contribute to the vibrancy and uniqueness of the area.
“The Committee is determined to ensure that with a clear purpose, we are working as effectively and cohesively as possible for local businesses,” Mr Martignago said.
“As a non-political organisation, we are committed to engagement with all levels of government and are completely focussed on advancing the interests of business in the area.
“Potts Point is a great place to live, work and play, and small businesses need a focussed and strong voice to ensure Council and State Governments understand what the key priorities are. Business is the key to regeneration of the area”
