The Glittering Mile

The Pink Mile, the Golden Mile, and the Glittering Mile – there have been many names conjuring the magic of Darlinghurst and Kings Cross, Sydney’s premier night time destination and the perfect place to celebrate Sydney Mardi Gras 2022. This year, the festivities really take off around Eastside Sydney with the return of Oxtravaganza and the addition of the Glittering Mile festival.

PINK

PINK is a tantalising visual experience of painting, photography, sculpture and ceramics celebrating the colour pink. A colour of contradictions, pink has the potential to both calm and electrify, seduce and repulse. The artists in this eclectic group exhibition draw on pink’s plentiful and loaded associations. Youthful and fun, it is the colour of vibrant blooms, summer cocktails and confectionery. It is sensual, with connotations of sexuality and the body.
